Classic CD Style

The CD Pig Series is best for liquid removal and general cleaning of loose or soft debris. These pigs are available with brushes for more aggressive cleaning of harder deposits and can also be fitted with gauging plates customized to any thickness or diameter.

PVX

The PVX Pig series is specially designed for launching through Argus, Meridian and JAG-style pigging valves. Some models are specifically designed to reduce damage with pigging valve receivers and to assist travel through 45-degree laterals and sweep tees. Brushes can be added for more aggressive cleaning of harder deposits.

Component Pigs

Component pigs consist of a polyurethane post with easily replaceable cups, discs and/or brushes which makes them a versatile solution to many pipeline pigging problems. The, cups, discs and brushes can be replaced as they wear, effectively making it a new pig. Cups come in a variety of styles and when properly mated with discs or brushes can be arranged to accommodate virtually any pipeline design or obstacle including multi-diameter pipelines.

The ability to configure the kind and quantity of cups and discs as well as include other options like brushes, gauge plates, transmitter cavities and magnet packs make component pigs a very individualized choice for pipeline cleaning, batching, gauging, displacement, removal of paraffin or scale build up, bi-directional pigging and dual-diameter or multi-sized pipelines.

Chemical Pigs

Tuffcast Pig

The Tuffcast pig is a lightweight and economical general purpose cleaning pig, with high abrasion resistance with flexibility to maintain a positive seal in out-of-round sections of steel pipe. A good choice for high H2S. When heavy cleaning capability is needed, the Tuffcast Pig can be fitted with brushes. The hollow body allows for the mounting of magnets or pig tracking devices.

Efficiently control corrosion in pipelines.

Pipetech pioneered the process of using pigs in conjunction with chemicals to efficiently control corrosion in pipelines. With a full range of filming pigs from 2” up to 48” pipelines, Northbound are able to support and supply you with the pigs you need to get the job done.

Meter Provers

Seamless, inflatable meter proving and pipeline spheres eliminate concerns over seam splitting or delaminating.

The unique manufacturing process permits valve bodies to be firmly embedded in the wall of the pipeline sphere to prevent leakage around the valve.  These spheres have a more consistent wall thickness, offering truer diameters resulting in more uniform wear and constant wall contact in meter-proving and measurement operations. The material provides greater flexibility for adapting to changing line conditions and better abrasion and blister resistance across a broad range of chemical and product environments.

Foam Pigs

Used for cleaning, de-watering and swabbing, foam pigs can be coated with urethane for more durability and can be customized to accommodate an assortment of situations. Our range includes bare foam, criss-cross, silicone carbide and wire brush. All are available in a varying grade of durability.

SuperTee Pig

Designed for launching through pig entry tees, this pig is a good option for liquid removal. It provides effective cleaning without damaging the inside of non-metallic systems and accommodates the different internal diameters inherent with non-metallic pipelines.

Non-Intrusive Pig Signals

Confirm successful launch, passage and receipt of pipeline pigs.

Pipetech offers a selection of non-intrusive signallers that accurately detect, signal and log the passage of pipeline pigs at critical points along pipelines onshore, offshore and subsea.  All topside signallers are UL CSA certified allowing for installation in hazardous Zone 1 areas such as on platforms and in refineries. Signallers provide a local indication of a pig passage via a graphical display and high brightness LEDs as well as a downloadable event log of up to 100 passages.
